Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and Marg that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky on the above links any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
Here’s my first Library Loot meme post. Ever. I will admit, I borrowed these books last Sunday (14th Feb) but as I was so busy faffing about with the new website, I decided not to post the meme until this week.The Alice Springs Town Library’s delicious collection is responsible for the following books jumping off the shelves and begging me to read them:

The Bollywood Beauty by Shalini Akhil

The Truth by Terry Pratchett

Cold Case by Faye Kellerman

Monsieur Frog by Nikki Barrowclough

Green Hills of Africa by Ernest Hemingway

Windfalls by June Hegland

Thanks for joining! (And I’m sorry no one’s commented-next time, try putting your permanent link in the Mr. Linky-it makes things easier!
)
I haven’t read any of these, but I love the cover of that Hemingway! I’ve seen the Gregory Peck movie that I think was based on that book (I don’t know-a lot of it is set in Africa at least). I just read your review of Bollywood Beauty-it sounds like such fun!
Hi Eva,
Sorry about that. I wasn’t really sure what link to put in the Mr Linky, but I will do it correctly next time. I’ve added you to the links page and I’m so glad that you’ve visited my little blog.
It looks like you found some good reads. I haven’t read any of them myself but I hope you enjoy :0)
I hope you enjoy ‘The Truth.’ I thought it was a hoot (but I am very partial to Pratchett’s books — not so much Hemingway’s, alas).
I’ve read a couple of Pratchett’s before: Small Gods and The Lost Continent. Whilst I loved Small Gods, The Last Continent read like an outsider’s collection of every Australian stereotype and cliche in existence. I ended up just cringing and getting irritated!
However, I know Pratchett is a fantastic writer and I love reading intelligent humour, so I joined Marg’s Terry Pratchett Challenge.
Thanks for dropping by and have fun with this week’s loot.
